Scott and Carrie's Wedding

Two wedding Saturday

We had fun yesterday! My fellow kindergarten teacher was married yesterday at 1:00 in St. Peter (near New Holstein) and then family friend from Marinette was married on the Marquette Campus at 4:00. Both beautiful churches and weddings and receptions to follow.

Amy and Ed had their reception at the Renaissance Place near the lake in Milwaukee. It was an amazing place and lots of fun to see old Marinette friends and old friends of our kids Amy and Scott!

On our way home we stopped at Millhome Restaurant where Scott and Carrie had their reception, and said hello again. Carrie's dad had made a model of a one room school house for wedding cards with lots of details.

Story here:

It's copper!

Largest copper found!

Haley can give you the particulars about this massive piece of copper!

I'll keep some of you guessing about this one!

And then we met up and took a walk along the water

Haley and Bill ready for Marquette winter-free!

Took the Cruiser Bikes for a long ride-and again!

Peter went trout fishing, Bill took a ride, and Haley and I went shopping and touring along the lake on the Cruiser bikes. We lost the bike lock along the way, so we "re-cruised" a bit-great ride.

A gorgeous day at Ledge View Nature Center on Monday with my kindergartners!

A couple good books!

Thursday I started to feel a cold coming on, and by Friday morning it was a COLD! I made it through a field trip to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch, making applesauce, and said good-bye to my kindergartners and crawled into bed for the weekend! I am feeling a little better today, but glad I could rest!

and several good movies!

and lots of kleenex!

Michael Perry

He autographed a copy for Peter and the New Holstein library copy!

Michael Perry-author of Population

I got to see and hear Michael Perry last week at the Kiel Library. He was hilarious and so genuine! Peter and I have read all his books: Coop and Truck are his others. Wish Peter could have enjoyed this, but had to officiate a swim meet!
