Elkart Market and Egg Hunting

When we went to the market in Elkart Peter stated, "I wonder if we will see somebody we know?"
We walked across the street and started down the first crowded path of beautiful and bountiful vegeatables, when we were surprised to bump into the Jacobs. It was fun to catch up with their family (Emily is married and teaching 5th grade in Des Moines, Tim and Emily (his wife) have a cute 5 month old boy. They had just been to DePauw to show him around. Emily will be home this weekend.
We got some gifts, swiss chard, currants for jam, and beautiful flowers ($6). We wanted to get eggs for homemade ice cream, but no luck today. We tried the egg man, no luck, the house was for sale-next the Organic Farm-no eggs again as the fox continues to have delicious meals of chicken, drove all over the counties looking for eggs for sale, and finally had to settle for Piggly Wiggly brown, free range variety.
The ice cream is wonderful, now to finish making the potato salad, and start the currant jam.
