Jana on Cypress

At 1:23 you might see Jana. If this is her boat and if that is her standing in the circle.

Our first stop-The Farmer's Market

We traveled to Athens, Ohio over the 4th of July to visit daughter Jesse and Eric. Hot weather, great food, and fun to see Jesse so happy and content.
Moving to town has proven to be a good thing for work, dogs, and good times. Shopping at the Import House, eating and touring at Jackie O's Brew Pub, and hanging out on the upstairs porch was relaxing and a wonderful get a way. Today, back to 5 year olds, making turtle tambourines (it was letter Tt day!) and getting the wireless at home at last!

Delicious sweet corn, Georgia peaches, hot peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, and lodi apples that made the great pie!

The Apple Pie

Jesse and I made pie one afternoon. She cut and prepared the fruit while I made and rolled out the dough. Mmmm good!

Our breakfast in Lancaster, Ohio

We didn't want to do the "Bob Evans" breakfast, so we got off the main drag and Peter started looking down the side streets until he saw a place with lots of cars. This was THE PLACE! We walked in and all the locals were there. Todd's Mountain View Restaurant was very interesting. I had the buttermilk hotcakes, eggs, and sausage and Peter had the biscuits and sausage gravy with home fries (fried potatoes) and eggs. The biscuits were about 4 inches high and light and delicious. My hotcakes were as big as a dinner plate (3) and I could only eat one! They were so delicious I brought them home! One of the waitresses called us Honeys, as in "Are you honeys doing alright?'
